The Choral Arts Ensemble is among greater Portland's premier choral groups. We select and prepare a diverse repertoire, and seek to educate and entertain our audiences with high caliber performances of familiar and rarely heard music.

Mission

The mission of the Choral Arts Ensemble is to continually raise our level of excellence and remain one of Portland's premier music organizations. The Choral Arts Ensemble:

• Engages and educates our audience through theme-based programming with a historical perspective and professional program notes.
• Creates a concert environment that is professional, yet comfortable and casual.
• Demonstrates versatility by singing a wide variety of music from all over the world, including smaller rarely heard works as well as large works.
• Builds community by employing local soloists and ensembles, performing music by local composers, and reaching out to local organizations, including inviting them to concerts free of charge.
• Is an audition-only choir composed of music professionals and local musicians.

The quality of the choir gives us the ability to explore diverse and lesser heard repertoire. We raise awareness and nurture appreciation of choral music for both audience and choir members.
